McKinney Hardwood Lumber

Ziricote ranges in color from medium to dark brown, sometimes with a slight green to purple hue, with bands of black growth rings intermixed. Unique in it's appearance, often featuring a puffy cloud like figure to its look. The sapwood is sometimes worked into designs for it's lighter, contrasting coloration. Without a doubt one of nature's most unique and beautiful species! Ziricote is fairly easy to work even considering its high density. Ziricote sands, turns and finishes well and it can also be glued without issues, but we always suggest wiping all surfaces to be glued with one of the following: acetone, denatured alcohol, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits or naphtha.
